The Chamber of Commerce of the Marche Region continues to promote initiatives aimed at the sustainable development of local supply chains on national and international markets, with the aim of increasing their competitiveness. Everything is focused on raising awareness of the entrepreneurial fabric on the theme of the circular economy, with calls and funding to support companies that develop the principle of sustainability within their business, favoring the short territorial supply chain for the supply of resources (raw materials).
The Call for sustainability of production for the year 2021 is aimed in particular at the footwear sector of the Marche Region, in line with the interventions envisaged by the national plan for the relaunch of the Italian economy and society and with the strategies required by the European Union.
The business development project in this perspective must necessarily start from a specific analysis of the the product life cycle placed on the market to make it better in terms of sustainability, using recyclable or biodegradable materials (also and above all for packaging), planning the second life (reuse) of the goods produced and waste management. Today consumers are increasingly aware and demanding: in addition to seeking the quality of a garment, they want to know how it was produced and make sure that the environmental and working conditions of the production staff are respected.
A great challenge for the entire sector, which today has the opportunity to renew and innovate technologically, to recover and continue to be competitive on all markets.
