With the Ministerial Decree of 10/02/2022, the Ministry of Economic Development has provided for a series of investments to support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises that adhere to and contribute to the transition towards the circular economy and energy sustainability.
Funding will be targeted at SMEs engaged in the collection and recovery of commercial and industrial waste and in smart packaging projects.
Contributions must be aimed at carrying out manufacturing activities (section C of the ATECO 2007 classification) and business service activities, including the collection of industrial and commercial waste, the recovery of materials of industrial and commercial origin, and the collection and purification of industrial waste water.
Particularly rewarded are solutions for the efficient use of resources, the treatment and processing of waste, solutions able to increase the lifespan of products and improve their production cycle, and the creation and use of smart packaging involving the use of recovered materials.
The benefit consists of a grant towards equipment covering a maximum nominal % of eligible expenditure determined according to the area where the investment is carried out and the size of the beneficiary companies.
Available resources:
A total of €677,875519.57 is available for the granting of the subsidies referred to in the above-mentioned Decree.
BENEFICIARIES:
All SMEs that have requirements including:
- be regularly registered and active in the commercial register
- Be in full and free exercise of their rights, not be in voluntary liquidation and not be subject to insolvency proceedings
- be in ordinary accounting and have at least two approved balance sheets filed with the commercial register (at least two tax returns in the case of sole proprietorships or partnerships)
- be in compliance with the regulations in force and with the contribution obligations
Eligible costs:
Costs strictly functional to the implementation of innovative, sustainable investment programmes with a high technological content and consistent with the national Transition 4.0 plan, through the use of technologies capable of increasing the level of efficiency in carrying out the company's economic activity, is eligible for aid.
Expenditure must relate to the acquisition of new tangible and intangible fixed assets concerning
- Machines, plants, equipment
- Acquisition of environmental certifications, understood as a system of tools: environmental self-declarations, Environmental Product Declarations, compulsory marks and labels, aimed at highlighting and demonstrating proper environmental management through the consequent recognition of the objectives set by an independent and accredited third-party body.
- Masonry works (up to 40% of total eligible costs)
- Computer programs and licenses related to the use of tangible assets
Deadlines and how to apply:
The benefits are granted on the basis of an evaluation procedure with a counter procedure.
The terms and procedures for submitting applications will be defined in a subsequent measure, which will specify the need for further documentation useful for carrying out the preliminary investigation, including the technical documentation that must support the applications in order to demonstrate the capacity of the investment program to achieve the particular objectives of environmental sustainability.
