SUSTAINABLE BEACH MANAGEMENT
The international standard ISO 13009 refers to the regulation of seaside tourism, an economically very important sector for Italy, which has about 8000 km of coastline on the national territory; this regulation is necessary to keep under control the environmental impact produced by all related activities.
Certification is a fundamental tool for building a beach management system because it establishes the general requirements to be met to ensure the quality of services offered to consumers.

- Adoption of a risk analysis system according to the economic and social dimension of the organization;
- Ability to manage safety and emergency management;
- Definition of activities to protect the environment, for water quality and waste management;
- Improve site accessibility;
- Adopt a system for managing fixed and mobile infrastructure;
- Managing the good condition of equipment;
- Definition of company signage;
- Definition of teams for the management of first aid;
- Adoption of an effective system for communication and information to stakeholders;
- Adoption of processes for cleaning and sanitation;
- Management of catering and related activities in facilities;
- Adoption of a measurement and evaluation system according to the principles of continuous improvement.
